"In contrast to the previous song, 'Lif,' 'Lifthrasir' is a slow power ballad of sorts, featuring a lot of clean guitar and clean vocals. Thematically, to contrast the sense of panic in 'Lif,' 'Lifthrasir' is about Lif trying to calm Lifthrasir down, telling him that it's going to be okay, and that even if it isn't, she'll be right there as the world ends around them. This song has my favorite solo on the album on it, and it's lyrically one of my favorites as well. This is one of the first songs I wrote for the band, and I'm extremely proud of how it turned out." - Ethan
